Art for Kids Hub
This past week Art for Kids Hub has been making my zoom meetings extra special for my students. The Hubs is a family of 6 who learn to draw together from Dad, Rob. They have everything from beginners to experienced shaded dragons.
I started using this with my students this past week because I could tell they were getting bored of our same old zoom meetings. Every student of mine loved getting to do something out of the ordinary. I also learned that one of my rather wiggly kids had super focus for art, which was so fun to see!
I have been using their YouTube over zoom by simply sharing my screen. When I share my screen I then scroll through a few options and let my student choose what they want to draw. By letting your students have a choice they are much more likely to buy into the activity because they are choosing something they want to do.
I would recommend any virtual teacher to try this fun art project out because it’s a direct draw which means Rob breaks everything down into steps. This is also a great activity for any younger kiddos who are struggling with their fine motor skills because they have to make precise drawings. I can’t wait to use this in person next year also! I hope this gave yah some fun ideas of how you can switch it up for your virtual lessons for the end of the school year.
Happy teaching :)
