Water color brush pens

Is it just me or do you dread some days when you do an art project because the mess can get crazy. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing art with my students. I do not like the mess it makes though.

I have found the solution, water color brush pens. They are amazing! I use them all the time for myself and even if it gets on something it comes out with water super easy. I am planning to get just a few sets for my students to use on art projects and I can not wait.

We have all used the water color palettes and I actually have quite a few but the mess is just terrible. Then the students tend to mix a little too much water and you open the palette to use again and somehow brown got into every color, hahahaha.

Also it seems that our students are not aware that they do not have to use all of the water. Whenever I seem to use water colors there’s someone I miss and when I look over there’s water and paint everywhere. There’s always that one you forgot to keep an eye on.

With the brush pens there’s no water needed which is awesome. The only downfall is that they are $17 for a pack of 24 from Amazon. I found a similar one to the pack I have because they are sold out currently. I would recommend buying two packs to start out with and use them for art projects that you are trying to take to the next level. I would also definitely have students use these in a small group so you can control the use of the pens much better.

The pack I found from Amazon that is similar to the one I bought

I love these so much better than the palettes and I think you can spread out their life by using them once a month for a project. I hope this gave you an idea of an alternative to the normal water color palettes that help the mess stay down.

Happy Teaching :)
