Back to School Student Questionnaire

With back to school around the corner I thought I would share with you a new resource I created and published on my TPT.

The new school year is approaching, which means new students to learn about. A great way to quickly learn about your students is by using a questionnaire to find out some things that they may have in common or make them unique. It also asks about home life which could help you decipher if they are a student who may need some extra support.

Another great thing about asking students to write about themselves is it will give you some insight to thier writing abilities. How is their spelling and handwriting skills, are you able to read it or do they need some extra help with their legibility?

Lastly, this could help you initially group students. Send it home to be returned before the start of school or even make it a digital file so you can seat students with things in common near each other. Sometimes all a 2nd grader needs to feel more at ease on their first day is to be seated by someone else whose favorite show is Sponge Bob.

I hope this gives you an idea to do for a first week back lesson and I am so excited to start to grow my TPT and offer teachers a million more resources this year!

Happy Teaching :)
